Professional Biography

I am an award-winning filmmaker, composer, and motion picture editor. My distinct approach to visual storytelling is informed by a rigorous background in classical performance, having trained in classical piano under Ferenc Rados at the prestigious Liszt Academy in Budapest. This discipline directly shapes my editing philosophy—a tension-driven approach where musical sensibility dictates the editorial structure.

My career reflects a commitment to both craft and cultural inquiry. I have edited and produced for major platforms, serving as motion picture editor for director Julie Dash on multiple projects, including HomeGoing (produced through MOCA) and her film for Vogue. My credits also include the CBC documentary An Improbable Dream, which garnered a Telly Award for my motion picture editing.

As a director, my work includes the ethnographic film Summon Back the Sun and the award-winning Ten Days with Art. Currently, I am exploring the intersection of authorship and emerging technology in LIMINAL INTELLIGENCE, a film-essay series examining human presence in the age of AI.

Born in Flint, Michigan to an immigrant household, I bring an ethic of discipline and a holistic, multidisciplinary, and multicultural perspective to every project I undertake.
